December 25, 1942 to November 2, 2008

Larry Bruce Dahlgren, 65 years and 11 months, died Sunday. He was born in Van Nuys, Calif., to Sadie (Steinhouse) and Ernest Dahlgren. Larry graduated from Duluth Central High in 1961, and then he joined the Navy. He was stationed in Brunswick Naval Station, Maine. In 1966, Larry transferred to the Air Force, serving in Vietnam, South Korea, Germany, and numerous Air Bases until he retired in 1982. Larry then worked with Voyageur Bus of Duluth for 23 years transporting special needs kids to school. Larry enjoyed many outdoor activities; hunting, fishing, camping, hiking, snowmobiling, ATV's, and off road 4WD trucking throughout the deserts of Arizona.

He is preceded in death by his parents; and stepfather, Charles Ludwig. Larry will be missed by his wife, Claudette (LaPointe); daughter, Catherine (John T.) Carter, son, Jeffrey Dahlgren; four grandchildren, John J. Carter, Jeremy Carter, Cody Osborne, Courtney Carter; six great-grandchildren; brother, David (Pat) Dahlgren and their family
