Lawrence "Larry" Jerome Curnow Sr., 67, died Saturday at home in Duluth. He was born in Duluth to Fran and Angela (Moren) Curnow. Larry worked as a wheelsman on the great lakes for over 30 years and also for Handyman Steel for 10 years. He also was a volunteer firefighter in Tracy, Minn., for two years. Larry was an extremely generous person, volunteering his time whenever needed to friends and family. Larry loved his family, dearly, especially his grandchildren.

He is preceded in death by his parents; three brothers Fritz, Marty and Joe. Larry will be missed by his wife, Mary Ellen; four children, Larry Jr. (Eunice) of Superior, Wis., Mike, Rick (Lori), Angela (Gary) Miller all of Duluth; seven grandchildren; one great-grandchild; brother, Eugene (Barb); three sisters, Patty Weilland, Angela (John) Wolling; Heidi Curnow; many nieces and nephews; extended family and friends.
