Barb Anderson, 64, of Duluth, passed away on May 25, 2008. Barb was born on Oct. 1, 1943 to Adolph and Martha (Toikka) Maki. She graduated from Central High School in 1961. She married Dennis "D. W." Anderson in 1964. She retired in 2004 from Sears after many years of working the retail business. She had a lifelong love of nature; most recently, she volunteered at Hartley Nature Center. Her family traveled extensively across the U. S. She also enjoyed watching NASCAR, NHRA, and traveling to many NASCAR events.

She is preceded in death by her husband and parents. Barb is survived by children, Dean (Kathy) Anderson of Pacific Grove, Calif., and Leah (Scott) Spicer of Saginaw; grandchildren, Chris and Beth Spicer; brother, Jon (Carla) Maki; sister, Cheryl (Bill) Sutton; nephew, Erik (Kathy) Sutton; and her cat, Fonzie.
