Joanne L. Strand Nevius, 57, of Greensboro, N.C., formerly of Duluth, died Wednesday in the Moses H. Cone Memorial Hospital, Greensboro. Mrs. Nevius was born in Duluth to Harold Franklin Strand and Helen Marie Engles Strand. She was a homemaker and a former employee of Kroger. She married James G. Nevius on Dec. 17, 1961, in Duluth.

Survivors include her husband, James G. of Greensboro; daughters Karen G. Nevius and Cheryl L. Reese, both of Greensboro; her father and mother, Harold Franklin and Helen Engles Strand of Lake Wales, Fla.; a sister, Marie J. Aldrich of Lake Wales; beloved twin granddaughters Tara Reese and ShaReh Reese.
