Laura Olivia Bean, 58, of East Second Street, died Friday at St. Luke's Hospital. She was born in Duluth to Paul and Lorraine (Jackson) Lanthier. Laura graduated from Central High School in 1961. She was a homemaker and worked as a bookkeeper for many years. In 1994, she earned her CAN certified nursing assistant degree from Lake Superior College. Laura was an avid reader and enjoyed crocheting beautiful gifts for family and friends. She brought many people love, laughter, kindness and with a determined spirit gave us six more wonderful years.

She was preceded in death by her parents. Survivors include a daughter, Audra Bean of Duluth; a son, Paul Bean of Superior; sisters Paulette (Steve) Beck of Duluth; Lynn (Jim) Persons of Duluth; and nieces Kristin Imsande, Kerri Persons, Olivia Burleson.
