"Where has 50 years gone? It has been an amazing journey.

After high school I went to work at Northern City National Bank. Saved my money and took a trip to see my family in Norway. Totally fell in love with it. Went back to the bank and saved again and took a job in Norway for 6 months.

Worked as a secretary at a couple of places. Married and had 2 children. Divorced and worked at UMD for 6 years. Joined the Navy Reserves and finally decided to leave Duluth and go temporary active duty. When I got to San Diego they didn't have a spot for me so I was lucky and got a job with Lockheed Missiles and Space and worked for them for 16-1/2 years. Was diagnosed with breast cancer and had a hip replaced. My daughter and her husband were stationed in Clarksville, TN and she wanted me to come out and live with them."

There was a winery there and I said I am going to work there. I did for 2 years for no pay and then another 1-1/2 years for pay. Great fun job. Son-in-law was getting transferred and they were either going to Alabama or Washington state. No thanks to the south. Too hot and humid. Came back to California and started to work as a sales rep in the wine industry. After some years I started working for a German glass company, which I am still doing today. Love my work. Travel all over. Have been to Europe, Italy, German and many more. Work from home, which is a plus. Answer my phone in Target or the bathroom and keep my customers happy.

"Went through 4 more hip replacements and another bout of cancer but it is only a short bump in the road. Have 4 grandkids, Maxwell 17 years, Trinidee 14 years, Corbin 10 years and Garrett 8 years. No one special in my life right now. My daughter lost her husband so her and Max moved back to California. After living in a 2-bedroom condo for a while, we decided to move to Temecula 7 years ago as that is where the wineries are and we got a 6-bedroom house. Mi Casa Su Casa. Anyone ever in the area and would like to stop in, I can take you wine tasting or have you over for food and drink. See you guys soon!!"
