After graduation I enlisted in the Air Force and eventually was stationed in Crete, Greece for two years. I met my first wife in Greece and we were married in 1963 and had two children Steve and Brenda, we divorced in 1977. After being discharged from the Air Force I worked in Photo Finishing for 25 years in Duluth, Arizona, California, Colorado and finally Wisconsin. I married Dorthy in 1982 and we had 3 children, Josh, Nick and Kayla. After leaving the photo finishing industry I worked in home construction and building maintenance.

Throughout my life I have enjoyed restoring classic cars and going to car shows - I have owned over 100 cars since 1961. Currently I have a 2010 Camaro (yellow with black stripes Bumble Bee version) and enjoyed the Camaro Fest II in Phoenix this past April. I retired in 2005 and Dorthy retired in 2008, We enjoy traveling - we have taken trips to Seattle, Florida, Georgia, South Carolina, Mexico, Spain and the Dominican Republic.

In 2010 we made a road trip in our Camaro to Florida, across the south on I-10 to Arizona and back to Wisconsin. We spend some of the winter months in Arizona and summers in Duluth at the UMD Summer Senior Program. Our favorite summer activity in Duluth is to bike on the Lake Walk to Lester Park and up the North Shore. We also picked up the game of disc golf at UMD.
