After graduation, I landed my first job as a secretary in the Duluth City Attorney's office. I met my husband in the summer of 62 and married four months later (you have to guess if that marriage lasted, no - actually it did last 32 years). Over the next 17 years we called New York, Florida, and Minnesota our home. Then in the fall of '79 we moved to Texas where I still reside today, but now about 1.5 hours outside of Dallas.
I currently work as a Word Processing Specialist in the Dallas office of the oldest law firm in Texas. I worked as a legal secretary for 22 years and as a Word Processing Specialist for the last 19 years. In addition, from 1992-1998 I dabbled in breeding large exotic birds which relocated me from my home in the Dallas metroplex to 72 beautiful acres in the country. I still live there today and make the daily 80 mile commute to Dallas. It is the best of both worlds. My hobbies include knitting, crocheting, and counted cross-stitching. Nothing too strenuous!
I have four fabulous children, eight wonderful grandchildren, and one adorable great-grandchild. I travel often to Memphis, TN to visit my eldest daughter and her family, and I enjoy spending time with my other three children and four granddaughters in Dallas. My youngest granddaughters have asked me to go to Maui with them this summer. They love their "Granny," and for that I am so blessed. My family is my greatest passion.
