James R. Gilbertson, 77, of Duluth, died Sunday, March 7, 2021 at St. Luke’s Hospital with family by his side. Jim was born in Duluth on April 7, 1943 to George O. and Mayme (Rustad) Gilbertson. Jim was a 1961 graduate of Duluth Central High School and served in the U. S. Army. Jim was an over-the-road truck driver and a member of the local Teamsters Union. He was preceded in death by his parents; a brother, George Allen; and a brother-in-law, Michael Sullivan. Jim is survived by a sister, Janice Sullivan of Eagan, MN; two nephews, Mark T. (Mary) Sullivan of Rosemount, MN and Shawn P. (Ellen) Sullivan of Savage, MN; a niece, Jana N. (Brent) Campbell of Brainerd, MN; many grand nieces and nephews. Services will be held at a later date. Burial in Park Hill Cemetery. Arrangements by Williams Lobermeier Boettcher Funeral Home.
