After leaving high school I attended beauty school, worked in a salon, got married an raised two sons. That marriage dissolved in 1967.

In 1972 I married my husband, Duane. We moved to Colorado Springs in 1979. While living in Colorado I took up running, hiking and biking. I love the outdoors. I worked full-time for a CPA firm as a computer operator. After my oldest son graduated from college, I began studying for my bachelors degree at the University of Colorado.

In 1989 we moved to Minneapolis to be closer to our grown children. I worked full-time and continued with my studies. I graduated with my Bachelors degree from Concordia College in St. Paul. My younger son graduated from college the following year.

I worked for Josten's (class ring/yearbook people) for 9 years in their human resources department. I was then recruited to work for United HealthCare as a recruiter for them. I worked at United for 6 years before retiring in the fall of 2004.

In retirement I enjoy biking, hiking, golfing, reading, cooking, and puttering around the house. We spend our winters in AZ. We have one son in MN and one son in AZ - the best of both worlds!
