John A. Radosevich Jr., 29, active in many of Duluth's community services, died Friday evening in a Duluth hospital. A member and leader of numerous volunteer organizations, he resided with his parents, Mr. and Mrs. John G Radosevich, who survive, at 401 W. 3rd St. Among the organizations in which he was most active are the Head of the Lakes World Affairs Council, Community Action Program, Duluth Playhouse and International Folk Festival. Mr. Radosevich, a native of Duluth, was graduated from Duluth Central High School in 1961 and later received a bachelor of arts degree majoring in sociology, social science and English from UMD. This past year, he received his master degree, majoring in educational psychology from the University of Wisconsin, Superior. He was a past president and was currently serving as vice president of the Community Action Program (CAP). He also was chairman of a key committee, that on planning and evaluation. Mr. Radosevich was acting director and vice president of the Head of the Lakes World Affairs Council and a strong leader in the movement.

He was especially active in the council's foreign student affairs program at UMD and his work in this activity led to further involvement with foreign seamen and businessmen. Through the council, he set up the "Great Decisions Book Study." That will be incorporated in the tutorial program starting this winter quarter at St. Scholastica. His recent activities included the chairmanship for the past three years of the International Folk Festival performed in August in Leif Erikson Park. Since his high school days, Mr. Radosevich had been active in the Duluth Playhouse, most noticeably in off-stage work. He was production manager and chairman or member of many lighting and sound committees and currently was a member of the board of directors, serving as secretary. This past year, Mr. Radosevich initiated a Focus discussion series, presented every other Thursday, at the Duluth YWCA. Mr. Radosevich was also a member of Common Cause, Volunteer Services Society and vice president of the Minnesota International Center, Minneapolis.

He taught for about a year in the New Careers Program of Concentrated Employment Program (CEP). In the 1972 state political campaign, he was a DFL senatorial district delegate. A member of Sacred Heart Catholic parish and a member of the parish council, he recently was elected to the council of the Catholic Diocese of Duluth.

Surviving besides his parents are two sisters, Mrs. Franklin H. (Jean) Dickson III and Miss MaryAnn; his maternal grandmother, Mrs. Zora Radosevich, all of Duluth
