We (Kathy Allard & Ron Schell) met in our senior year at Central.  We were married in Duluth and moved to the Washington, D.C. area in 1968.  Ron went to work for the federal government and graduated from Law School in 1972.  Kathy went to college in Northern Virginia and started her own accounting business in the mid 70's.  
 
Ron worked on resolving labor-management disputes early in his career.  In 1978, he became involved in enforcing health and safety standards at underground and surface coal mines throughout the nation.  Ron retired in 2001, although he did contract work for the government for several years thereafter.
 
Kathy continues to operate her accounting business which specializes in providing accounting services to small businesses and in preparing individual and business taxes.  Ron assists Kathy during the busy tax season.
 
We have two children, both living in Virginia and one grandson.  We both love the area and spend most of our vacation time near the Chesapeake Bay which is known for its waterfowl and sea food.
