After high school I left Duluth to join the United States Air Force and was stationed in Alabama, Hawaii and Germany. I met my husband Tom on a judo mat in Hawaii.

Five years later we were married in Germany, honeymooned in Switzerland then I left the Air Force after 7 years as a Staff Sergeant and went to live with him in Thailand where he worked for the Army & Air Force Exchange Service. After Thailand we went to Texas then to Germany with AAFES. At age 42 I decided to finally finish college and received a Bachelor's degree after many years of interesting classes. I worked as a secretary because that was a field that traveled well with all our moves and I loved the variety.

We have had a lifetime together of travel and adventure including a recent trip to India I'm still recovering from. Getting too old for some adventures. No children but several dogs.
