It's hard to believe that 50 years ago we were all new and excited graduates from good old Central High School. How quickly those years have flown by. For me, life had been filled with much happiness and fulfillment, along with some sad and very painful times-all a part of life.

I attended UMD for two years right after graduation and then transferred to the University of Minnesota in Minneapolis. There I received my Bachelor of Science degree in secondary education with a German major and a French minor. I continued on and received my Master's degree in Library Science in 1967. While at the U of M I met my husband and just a few weeks ago we celebrated our 44th anniversary! As newlyweds, we lived in Akron, Ohio, Ashland, Wisconsin, Minneapolis, Duluth, and now for the past 30+ years we've been in Glenview, Illinois, a suburb just north of Chicago.

We have four lovely children and nine precious grandchildren ranging in ages from 6 months to 16. Three of our children and six grandchildren are in the Chicago area. Our daughter and family live in Scottsdale, Arizona-too far away for our liking, but a great place to visit, especially in winter.

My husband and I are both still working full time and enjoying it. When not working, we enjoy visiting with family and friends, cruising, reading and just hanging out.
