After graduating from the U of M in Minneapolis, I taught HS English, worked for the Educational Testing Service of Princeton writing analogies and reading comprehension sets for the SATs and Graduate Records Exam, worked as a newspaper reporter, and served as a Sheraton Hotel marketing director, before we moved to Seattle to be closer to my mom, dad and sister Kay Kenyon (who was 3 years behind me at Central). She is a science fiction author with 10 published books to her credit. I was fortunate enough to be in Seattle during the boom real estate years. Spent 23 years as a successful real estate agent with my kids working for me: my daughter for 13 years (before she became a real estate attorney); and my son for 14 years who then took over the business when I retired. Both kids and my grandchild live less than a mile from us.

My husband Clay and I have been married for 32 wonderful years - probably the only man who could put up with me! We met at a bridge tournament and I was so lucky this brilliant player, with Stanford degrees in statistics and math, would play with me. We've been bridge partners ever since playing in tournaments all over the country. We have been blessed enough in our careers to be able to do all the things we want. I've kept fit by years of tennis and skiing before my knees gave out. For 10 years every summer we went back to New York for the US Open, got to the French Open twice, and to Wimbledon once (not to play, of course.) Now, after four cartilage operations on my knees, I have to restrict my physical activity to walking with our 90 pound Schutzhund-trained German Shepherd, yoga and lifting. I am not going to go easy into that long dark night.
