Robert "Bob" K. Lyle, 59 of River Drive, Saginaw, died at St. Mary's Medical Center. Bob was born in Duluth to Sam and Florence (Miller) Lyle. He was a fireman with the Duluth Fire Dept. for 3 years and was Minnesota State Patrol Trooper for 29 years, retiring in 1998. Bob was a former member and Deacon at Our Saviors Lutheran Church, Cloquet and was to join First Lutheran Church, Duluth this Sunday. He was a former member of Lake Superior Trollers Association and a current member of the Minnesota State Patrol Troopers Association and Minnesota Police and Peace Officers Association. Bob was an expert cook, wild life enthusiast and was known throughout the area for his gardening.

He is survived by his wife of 33 years, Marcy; daughter, Monica (Michael) Burbul; brothers, James (Carol) Lyle and Thomas (Gloria) Lyle; his trusted companions, his dogs, Mandy and Callie and his cat, Emma.
