September 21, 1943 to September 24, 2004

Mary Jane Wampler Crye, 60, of Red Bluff, Calif., died after a long battle with cancer on Monday. She was born in Duluth, Minn. to Royce and Lorrayne Wampler. She graduated from Duluth Central High School in 1961 and was married to LeRoy Crye at First Presbyterian Church in Duluth in 1965. She graduated from college at the age of 40 and worked as an accountant. After moving to Red Bluff, she was an active member of the Presbyterian Church of Red Bluff and a long-time volunteer in the community, including St. Elizabeth's Hospital. A drummer since high school, she played with the Red Bluff Community Band.

She is survived by her husband of 39 years, LeRoy Crye; her parents; her daughter, Heidi Renner of Leesburg, Virg.; her son, James Crye of Seattle, Wash.; three sisters, Barbara Boston of Lakevill, Minn., Leslee Ringdahl of Grand Rapids, Minn., and Sally Elwood of Burnsville, Minn.; one brother, Darren Wampler of Duluth, Minn.; her mother-in-law, Bernice Boushie of Duluth, Minn.; her brother and sister-in-law, Lyle and Rose Anderson of Duluth, Minn.; three grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
