After graduation, I joined the Navy and spent some time at sea aboard the USS Lindenwald in the Atlantic Fleet. As much as I enjoyed the many cruises to the Mediterranean and Caribbean, I knew this was not the career path for me. After my tour of duty, I returned home to Duluth.

I was married in 1965 and started a family. In 1972 I moved to Colorado. I was divorced in 1984. In 1991, Mary Ann and I were married and successfully blended our two families together. We have a daughter in Fort Lauderdale Florida, A son and daughter in Omaha Nebraska, Another daughter in Las Vegas Nevada, and a son close to home here in Colorado. We have also been blessed with nine grandchildren.

Having our family living at opposite ends of the nation has given us reasons to travel often to visit our grandchildren. We have also taken time to travel to Europe and a couple of Caribbean Cruises.

Mary Ann and I both have had long and successful careers in retail sales. I am presently semi-retired and working for a golf course part time. My interests are golf, hiking, reading, woodwork and gardening. That is helping Mary Ann with her flowerbeds. Golfing in Colorado is almost possible 365 days a year. Colorado Springs is considered an alpine desert and has approximately 300 days of sunshine per year making it great place to live for an outdoor enthusiast as myself.
