Fifty years huh?
First decade: I graduated from St. John's University, College then from the University of Innsbruck. So by 1971 I was ready for a job!! I served as pastor for three parishes in Northeastern Minnesota: Duluth, Ely and then Cloquet.

The second decade flew by:I left the ministry obtained an MA in counseling and began working for the City of Duluth in the Workforce Development department. I worked on a variety of projects: retraining, housing, helping folks and families receiving cash assistance find employment.

I then met and married Jean Gornick; Helped raise three step-daughters, Laura, Corrine, Lynsey and a son, Nathan. The girls are married. Nathan just finished two years of college - the reason I am still working 4 days a week - one result of having a son when many have begun having grandsons. There are four grandsons: Erik, Alek, Dylan and Eli - who goes by the techno nickname E-!

Tally two more decades: Now that the house is quiet, except for Maggie, a previously owned Springer spaniel, Jean and I can follow our own paths. In her business she consults in organization evaluation and travels a lot. I'm developing my artistic, creative side. Long weekends give me time to pursue photography, outdoor/wilderness activity and exploring the history of NE Minnesota. I have always canoed in the BWCA and in the last 5 years begun week-long wilderness backpacking hikes. Friends from the Class of '61 brought me on my first trip into the BWCA.

So what about decade six? With luck I be able continue the strenuous outdoor activities with my camera; and gardening; and berry picking etc. Check out kjackson.us/kgj.html
