After we graduated, I started working for the Welfare Department. In 1963 I moved to California and worked for the Welfare Department again. I met and married my husband, Merlin, in 1967. We have two children, Nicolle and Russell, who we have enjoyed more than I can say. In 1985 we moved to Missouri where we bought and ran a restaurant for nine years. We've actually owned several businesses over the years, but we have found that our true calling is retirement.

We now live in Southern Illinois, which is fairly close to both of our children. Our daughter and son-in-law live in Anna, Illinois that is about 30 minutes from us. They have three children (ages 10, 12, and 22) that we really enjoy. Our son and daughter-in-law live in St. Louis, Missouri, which is about 2 _ hours from us. We live on the lake and have water toys so our children and grandchildren come to visit and play often.

Our winters are spent in Pharr, Texas. We spend most of our time playing and dancing. We definitely enjoyed life more now than we ever have.
