After I graduated from UMD, Denis and I married and lived in Minneapolis for two years - I taught English at Richfield High School, and he finished law school. We moved back to Duluth, and I taught for one year at Central. We moved to Two Harbors in 1973, and I retired in 2006 after teaching high school English and French for 16 years in the Lake Superior School District.

Our daughter Jennifer was born in 1968 and died of bacterial meningitis in 1973; we cherish the wonderful memories we have of her. Alan was born in 1970 and now lives in Blaine with his wife Kim and daughters Taryn (9) and Piper (6). Tom was born in 1974 and lives in Lexington, MN. Melanie (born in 1979) and her husband Dean and children Zachary (5) and Zoe (1) also live in Blaine.

I am thoroughly enjoying retirement - especially not having to correct all those research papers! I love to travel, read, attend plays and musicals, and especially to spend time with my family. My parents (ages 90 and 89) also live in the Cities, and I visit with them often.

I haven't missed a reunion yet and am looking forward to this one.
