I had joined the Navy Reserve when in the 11th grade so upon graduation I was off to sea for two years where I docked in about 1/3 of the world ports (Puerto Rico, Virgin Islands, Trinidad, Brazil, and Uruguay. Argentina, Chile, Peru, Panama Canal, Mediterranean and Key West Florida (where we spent 6 weeks tied up) and enjoyed every minute.

When discharged from the Navy I went to Minneapolis and enrolled in accounting school. I then worked at Eklund Clothing and worked my way up to controller and general merchandise manager. After 15 years of sitting behind a desk I had to get out and was offered a sales position of selling work clothing on the road. My first few weeks I did not think this was for me but after 32 plus years I am loving it and have no plans of retirement. (I only work 7 months of the year). My first wife passed away and I divorced my second wife. Darlene and I have been married for over 21 years now and we have five great kids (Darlene 4 me 1) and 12 grand children with maybe one more?

We are not wintering people but (I) we have been going to Key West Florida every other year for the past 48 years. We are still Minnesotans at heart and love the change of seasons. Our summers have always been spent camping and traveling in the USA (have been to 30 states) with family and we spend a lot of summers fishing with grand kids in the 15 lakes in our area plus Canada. Darlene and I have very beautiful gardens in our entire yard and have enjoyed them for many years. I can honestly say we have been very blessed with a great marriage and very successful children in their own right.

I have never missed a class reunion and in fact attended my mother's 75th Central class reunion this past year. Mrs. John Vucinovich was at the reunion.

Update:05/24/2022

Lived in Minneapolis from 1963 to 1975 moving about 5 times while single then only 2 after marriage. Moved to the quiet, great town of Litchfield Mn in 1975 renting, then buying a old Victorian house which got to be too much then to a new home in Litchfield for 36 years and now a townhouse, one level and we love it more than we thought we would.

It is kind of tough to entertain 26 of family on holidays but the covid helped there by keeping all away for?? we do not know and not liking it.

My dad died in 1989 at 75 so visited my mother every month (31 years) in Duluth till her death 3 years ago at 97. We were very lucky to have my 2 sisters in Duluth, Claudia (Meidal) Alvar and Elaine ( Meidal ) Davidson (you know Chuck) to keep up daily and weekly visiting etc with our mother healthy up to the end, she just shut down! I guess we are all Central graduates including my mother she lived at 1301 east 3rd street that my Grandpa built, he built many homes in Duluth from 1902 till 1940.

Why did I write this and send to you???? Just read the others comments and it is very interesting to read about them.
